By having Solar, Wind, Geothermal energy as well as fosil fuel power stations that have the technology to “scrub” their emmisions at the source and not the millions of cars that are de-centralized and are harder to control their emmisions will we achieve this reality.  Of-course the need for better battery technology is needed to really boost the electric car concept but this will happen like the first man on the moon.
